The Sony World Photography Awards is an international photography competition that rewards the best in photography in four competitions (Youth, Student, Professional and Open). Set up by the World Photography Organisation (WPO), in partnership with Sony, it offers a showcase for both established and emerging talent.closevolume_off
For this 13th edition, there were many entries in the Open Competition, which includes 10 categories. More than 100 photographers were shortlisted alongside the overall winners of the ten categories. The president of this year’s jury was Gastón Deleau, director of FOLA (Fototeca Latinoamericana) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Tokyo International Foto awards recognize, honor and connect talented photographers from around the world to new audiences and new eyes in the creative circles of Tokyo, Japan. The competition is open to everyone and we invite photographers from all over the world to enter their work. The winners receive prizes that are up to $3,000 USD.
We are Alexandra and Serge Siro, photographers, and travelers. Everything started with the quarantine, when we realized, that we would not travel anywhere the next several months or maybe half a year. But we stayed optimistic and entered our imagination: what if we could become tiny for this period of time, then our own apartment would turn into a huge unknown world.
Thus, we started to create our miniature series about home adventures. The process itself is quite long and requires a lot of attention and patience. Going from an idea to its outcome, we realized, how many tricks and details are actually hidden in this way. But it gives us so much fun and inspiration, so we continue creating more and more new series.
We are Alexandra and Serge, an IT girl and a photographer. We love travelling (who does not? :D), preferable on two wheels, but does not need to be so. The main thing, that a trip should be on as low budget as possible (within reasonable limits), and of course it should turn into an unforgettable adventure with interesting spots, new roads and new experience.
