We are here to answer the big question that has been on everyone’s minds: What if big movie actors were replaced by cats and dogs? Imagine going to see Pirates of the Caribbean and Jack Sparrow would be played by a cat, instead of Johnny Depp.

That’s exactly the thing this Brazilian artist Luís Rogério Faria Rosa wanted to see, so he created a series where he recreates 19 famous movie posters. He replaces the actors with cats and dogs and let’s just say the result is quite humorous and adorable.

The Same Artist That Created The ‘Good Boy’ And ‘Black Cat’ Comics Is Back With A New Comic About A Parrot

Jenny Jinya is a freelance illustrator and animal rights activist from Germany whose name you should probably recognize if you frequent our website. The artist regularly creates heartbreaking comics that draw attention to various animal rights issues and this time she’s back with a comic about a pet parrot.

In her latest comic, Jenny tries to explain why budgies, and parrots in general, are very misunderstood pets – and how these misunderstandings often lead to their abandonment. As always, the artist provides some useful information and facts in the last panel, further explaining why you should do some serious research before choosing a parrot as a pet. See Jenny’s latest comic in the gallery below, and if you want to see more of her work, check out our previous posts herehere, and here.

Illustrator and animal rights activist Jenny Jinya recently created a heartbreaking comic about a budgie

The artist went on to explain why parrots are some of the most misunderstood pets

Jenny explained that unlike cats and dogs, parrots are not domesticated animals, therefore they require lots of freedom and can be pretty loud and disruptive as that’s the same way they act in the wild. Some inexperienced owners might find this behavior hard or even impossible to tolerate, leading to the pets being placed in closets, garages, or other environments where they wouldn’t be heard. According to the artist, a majority of captive parrots eventually end up in at least five homes and often die prematurely. “Do your research before you decide to get an exotic pet!” concluded Jenny – and the same thing goes for any other pet you’re planning to get.

The Creator Of The “Good Boy” Comic Just Shared Another Tear-Jerking Comic About A Black Cat

Even in the 21st century, there is a superstition surrounding black cats. Some people believe they bring bad luck and simply want nothing to do with them. Sadly, this often results in a large number of black cats that are left unadopted in animal shelters. To draw more attention to this problem, Jenny Jinya, a freelance illustrator from Germany, recently shared a tear-jerking comic about a little black cat.

“Even in 2019, you still hear of black cats being associated with superstitions, witches, black magic and such,” writes the artist on her Instagram post. “Black shelter pets are less likely to be adopted than pets of other colors. They still face so much hate nowadays and the more I read about this topic, the sadder I get.” See Jenny’s comic below.

“There are dozens of posters and infographics with various statistics about abandoned or abused animals. Many know the problems, but such information is quickly forgotten,” said Jenny in a recent interview with Bored Panda. The artist says that with her comics, she tries to give a voice to the victims. She wants the affected pets to be able to tell their stories and hopes that this way she can raise awareness.

A little while ago, Jenny shared a similar comic featuring a puppy and a boy

People started sharing pictures of their own black kitties in response to Jenny’s comic
