This Artist Creates Minimalist Comics With Unexpected Endings (20 Pics)

Tango Gao is a Chinese comic artist who proved that you don’t need a lot of detail to tell a good story. He creates quirky and minimalistic comics full of optical illusions and unexpected endings, and they’re just what you need to put a smile on your face.

With nearly 10 years of experience, Tango is no newcomer when it comes to creating comics. Everything began when a friend challenged him to create a cartoon every day and upload it to Weibo, a popular Chinese social media site. It did not take long for people to fall in love with his comics and the rest is history. The artist now has over 229 K followers on his Instagram, and I’m pretty sure you’ll join them too after seeing his comics.

Check out Tango’s comics in the gallery below and if you want more, see our previous posts here, here and here!

Aušrys Uptas

One day, this guy just kind of figured – “I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?” – and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that’s trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that’s too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
