Join the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) for a live webinar that will provide insight on the current business conditions for the interior design industry as determined by the ASID Interior Design Billings Index 2nd Quarter 2019 report. The IDBI is produced by ASID Research and Knowledge Management in partnership with Jack Kleinhenz, Ph.D., and Russ Smith, Ph.D., both of Kleinhenz & Associates. During the webinar, we will provide a rundown and analysis of the market segments and geographic regions that enjoyed a positive second quarter, 2019; look at the key indices from the report and what they suggest for the design industry over the next six months; and evaluate how interior design practitioners interpret the economic climate. The index is compiled from a monthly ASID survey of 300 geographically diverse firms that primarily offer interior design services, or offer interior design services as part of architectural, engineering, and other related practices.Practitioner perspectives on current and future business conditions for the interior design industry are a helpful indicator of changes in the direction of economic activity. The ASID indices are centered on 50 percent: a score above 50 indicates industry expansion, while a score below 50 denotes contraction.
