The America’s Next Top Model host also owns at least three other multimillion-dollar homes in the area
Tyra Banks has a whole lot to smize about. The America’s Next Top Model host recently purchased a stunning 6,160-square-foot contemporary-style home in the luxurious Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles, adding to her ever-growing real estate portfolio, which already includes at least three other multimillion-dollar Pacific Palisades homes. The five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom home stands an impressive three stories, just above the main downtown shopping and dining district, with views of the Pacific Ocean. The exterior of the multilevel home maximizes its angles and glass materials, with numerous balconies and windows creating a strategically stacked aesthetic. A combination living and dining room with honey-toned wide-plank hardwood floorboards greets guests at the front of the house. Further inside the home is an open-plan kitchen with sleek dove-gray cabinets and marble countertops and an oversize center island. The kitchen also features an informal dining space separated from the family room by a double-sided gas fireplace; floor-to-ceiling glass doors off the family room slide open to a small covered deck overlooking the backyard and beyond.
Down one floor, Banks’s new home also boasts a walk-in wine cellar, a fitness room that can be converted into a children’s playroom, and a media lounge that includes a wet bar, an in-ceiling speaker system, and a wall-mounted, 120-inch projection screen, perfect for watching reruns of America’s Next Top Model. One of the bedrooms, an en-suite room ideal for guests or staff, is also located on the subterranean ground floor. A second bedroom on the main floor can be used as a home office or den, and the remaining two bedrooms and master suite are located on the top floor, each with impressive views of the city and the ocean. (The master suite is a small slice of luxury in and of itself, featuring an adjoining sitting room, a fitted walk-in closet and a spa-style bathroom that opens out through glass sliders to a walled courtyard terrace.) The rooftop terrace has a fire pit, hot tub, and built-in barbecue.
Tyra Banks’s other Pacific Palisades properties are similarly enviable. She most recently purchased a 4,797-square-foot contemporary home with gorgeous ocean views for $7.35 million in the summer of 2016, and two years before that she shelled out $3.295 million for another home. Banks also sold her $17.5 million Manhattan home last spring, making a permanent relocation to Los Angeles.
