Former Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is opening up her Los Angeles home to short-term and long-term renters just days after a reportsurfaced claiming she’s homeless and living out of her van. Hatcher clarified on Thursday that she’s not homeless but is in fact shooting a YouTube series, Van Therapy, in her vehicle. The stylish 4,106-square-foot house, located in Studio City, features three bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms, and is available to rent for $25,000 a month long-term and $30,000 a month short-term.
The home sits securely behind a walled courtyard and features an impressive swimming pool and spa, an outdoor fireplace, and a wrap-around deck with a built-in barbecue and outdoor kitchen area. The property opens up to a grassy backyard with a children’s playground surrounded by plenty of birch trees and greenery for maximum privacy. The residence itself includes two living rooms on either side of the main entryway, the smaller one boasting floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves and a fireplace for a cozy reading nook; the larger one is structured as more of a lounge area, with a cathedral ceiling and a second fireplace.
Each of the other rooms has its own distinct personality and decor. A family room connected to the smaller living space features glass sliders leading to an outdoor dining deck; the kitchen, with its crisp white countertops and forest green cabinetry, revolves around a central butcher block–topped island; the separate formal dining room’s walls are covered with charming bird-patterned wallpaper. The home’s master suite boasts a sitting area in front of yet another fireplace, and the two guest bedrooms on the second floor each has its own bathrooms (one particularly luxurious one features a two-person soaking tub, a makeup vanity, and a glass-enclosed shower space). Hatcher is listing the home for rent fully furnished.
