The Fixer Upper star, who is expecting her fifth child with her husband Chip, loves a cohesive color palette
Joanna Gaines really knows how to keep calm and carry on. The pregnant Fixer Upper star recently shared a photo from her famed kitchen, featuring an array of books on her bookshelf that are likely not only good reads, but are also aesthetically pleasing. “I’ll be in here if you need me,” she captioned the shot, along with a leaf and book emoji. In the photo, Gaines also has a wooden easel set up in front of the shelf, which holds a number of blue, beige, and teal books, as well as numerous spice jars and ceramic clay pots. The interior design pro has shared other images showing off the power of color-coordination in the past, including airy rooms with faux plants to add color accents, bright turquoise-colored wall lockers in a boys’ washroom, and sleek, bold colored cabinets.
Joanna Gaines and her husband, Chip, are currently expecting their fifth child together, which may explain why the Texas native has been looking toward soothing hues. The pair announced late last year that they’ll be ending their hit HGTV series Fixer Upper after this season, opting to spend more time with their kids. “For us, the most important thing in the world is Jo and I’s relationship followed very quickly by these four beautiful kids,” Chip said in a statement last fall. “We didn’t want to push it, redline it for so long that we woke up and realized we are at a point of no return. We wanted to take a step back and focus on the thing that was absolutely the most important thing to us in the world.”
