Josh Duhamel’s New, $2.65 Million Encino Bachelor Pad Is Everything He Told Us It Would Be

Josh Duhamel’s new, $2.65 million bachelor pad in Encino, California, has all the amenities the adorable actor told us he loved most when he first discussed purchasing his solo home: outdoor entertaining areas, barbecue space, and places to hang-out with friends. The actor, who snapped up the 3,300-square-foot, five-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home late last year, previously told Architectural Digest about his love for outdoor design, and given the recently released images of the property, it’s not hard to see how that love will translate into an amazing hangout space for Duhamel and his pals.

The ranch-style, midcentury modern home, which was originally built in the 1960s, includes backyard amenities such as a built-in barbecue and fire pit, a gorgeous swimming pool and spa bordered by a Brazilian mahogany deck, and a spacious lawn ideal for fun and games. “One of the reasons I love living in L.A. is the indoor/outdoor, and this house is very indoor/outdoor,” he told AD in an exclusive interview about his new home in December. “There is a flow to it, and I love having a really comfortable outdoor space: a fire pit, barbecue nearby, a place to sort of hang out, and I usually have a TV out there so I can watch the game.”

In addition to the enviable backyard space, Duhamel’s home also provides the ultimate indoor space for entertaining guests, with an open floor plan that includes a dining room that extends directly through to the spacious kitchen. A minimalist fireplace helps to bring some intimacy to the large living room as well, with honey-blond hardwood floors and glass sliders helping to give the home a sunlit, light feel. “I just walked in and I felt relaxed,” Duhamel told us of how he decided on the home. “I felt like this was a place where I can come in and just land every day.”
